Lounge Refurbishment
During the summer holiday we have spent a lot of time spring cleaning the Centre, but to make the Lounge even smarter we would like to replace the old venetion blinds with new vertical blinds. The existing blinds are showing their age and are very difficult to keep clean.
New blinds need to be of good quality, to offer blackout performance and be fire proofed. Quotations for suitable blinds are in the region of £600, a sum which we have not allowed for in our budget.
Thanks to the generosity of of our user groups and a sizeable donation from Frodsham & District Round Table following the Bonfire Night and Firework display I am pleased to say that our fund raising target has been reached.
We are now in discussions with our suppliers to arrange for the installation of the new blinds.
Thank you again to all those whose donations made this possible.

Frodsham Community Centre provides a base for local groups, and hires space for rehearsals, workshops, evening classes, family celebrations, children's parties and meetings.
The Centre is run by the Frodsham Community Association, and is governed by the FCA council made up of representatives of affiliated groups. We are a registered charity run by local residents. Our aim is to establish a centre which enhances the quality of life of local people by providing educational, arts and leisure opportunities. We want to create a place belonging to the community where people and groups can meet, socialize and network in a safe and friendly environment.
It is always important that a village or town has a sense of community. This has always been true in Frodsham and it was therefore a great asset when after years of planning and saving the Frodsham Community Centre was built in 1969 on a site in Fluin Lane.
See posters at the Centre for details of:-
National Trust, Film Society, Frodsham Players, Zodiac A.O.S. and other affiliated groups and societies - yearly programmes and productions.
The Community Association run - Quiz Nights, Annual Boot Sale, Carnival Week, Bonfire Night, Panto Week and also a News Years Eve dance.

Membership of the FCA is £5.00 for Life Membership, forms available at the Centre, address to Jenny Woodward (Membership Secretary) and either post or leave at the Centre.
Centrally located in Frodsham, with a large car park, The Centre is ideally situated for receptions, conferences and meetings.
The Main Hall can be used for badminton, dances etc and, with a lighting and projection room, is home to local dramatic, operatic and film societies.
A number of small rooms, suitable for a variety of purposes, are also available (see facilities page).
The use of a large fully-equipped kitchen, and a choice of two licensed bars can be provided if requested by the hirer when booking.
Many different Clubs and Societies flourish in The Centre, and attract people from Frodsham and the surrounding area.
Attached to The Centre is the Frodsham Rainbow Club & Youth Association, with a range of social and sporting activities.
